Often the first step to selling your item is to get a valuation or 'estimate' of how much it may be worth if it is sold at auction.
There are a number of ways:
At McTear’s
By far the best way of receiving an accurate valuation is ‘close up’, allowing our experts the best opportunity to examine your item for quality, condition and authenticity.
The Auction Galleries in Glasgow are open six days a week to provide free auction valuation advice. It's ideal to make an appointment though not essential; you can book here > Valuation Appointment via this link.
Home Visits
If you have an item, a collection or complete property contents that you are unable to bring to us, our experienced valuers can visit you at home. Our valuation service extends across the country.
To discuss this service and make arrangements, please contact Michelle Henderson on 0141 810 2880 or complete this short form.
Online
Our Online Valuation Form allows you to detail your item and upload images. Our specialists will then carefully examine the images and information you submit and will be able to give you a provisional estimate of the sort of price your item could achieve in one of our specialist auctions. We may need a little more information before we can give an estimate - in which case we will phone or contact you by email.
Valuation Days
McTear’s holds regular valuation days around Scotland, often for charitable purposes, where our specialists are available to give free valuations and advice. Contact Us for details on our next Valuation Day near to you.
Executries
We work with the private client solicitors in Scotland’s largest firms to offer a complete valuation and service to executors, estate trustees and legal professionals.
