The August 14 Rare and Fine Whisky Auction features a plethora of wonderful spirits for your perusal.
Heading the field is lot 25, which is the Macallan 1965 Tudor decanter aged 25 years. This fastastic spirit is presented in a hand blown decanter and stopper is expected to sell for £3,500-£4,000. Other unusual and intreguing Macallan's include lot 15 and lot 44 which are both examples of Macallan's short lived forray into the world of liqueurs. These bottles of Macallan Amber are estiamted to sell for £200-£300 each.
Out of the Macallan circles there are also 7 bottlings of the 1990's 'The Stillman's Dram' range from Whyte & Mackay, consisting of whiskies in their late 20's from Tamnavulin, Fettercairn, and the Isle of Jura.

Top of the pile is lot 131, a Springbank 1965 bottled in 1993 with the code 27.24, estimated at £2,000-£3,000. McTear's is proud to offer the collection of Celtic legend Stevie Chalmers. His 1967 European Cup winner’s medal will take centre stage along with his Scottish First Division, League Cup, Scottish Cup, Glasgow Cup and Commemoration Medal, being offered for sale as the most important group of Celtic medals ever to come to auction.
Stevie Chalmers is considered one of Celtic’s greatest ever players with his 85th minute goal in the 2-1 win against Inter Milan in the European Cup final resulting in Celtic becoming the first British team to lift the illustrious trophy.
The medals are part of a wider archive of historic items being put to auction by the family of the late Lisbon Lion. Another highlight of the collection is Pele’s match worn jersey, which he swapped with Chalmers (the Scotland goal scorer) at the end of Scotland’s 1- 1 draw with Brazil at Hampden Park in 1966.

One stunning spirit included in the Rare and Fine Whisky auction is the Glenfiddich 1990 single sherry barrel aged 24 years, which is one of only 24 bottles and was produced to comemorate the opening of the 'Glenfiddich Gallery' in 2014. This sits alongside many fantastic examples from the world renowned Glenfiddich, Macallan, Balvenie and Highland Park distilleries to name a few.

Dedicated to the artistic output of China, Japan, Korea, as well as India, the Middle East and Africa.
This auction will include an extensive collection of African masks and figures, from the Collection of Julien Harris (1910 - 2011), Scotland. Acquired in situ 1930, thence by descent. They were acquired on a journey across West Africa that Harris undertook in 1930 alongside Geoffrey Gorer and Francois (Feral) Benga, a research trip which culminated in the book "Africa Dances". Benga was a Senegalese dancer at the Folies Bergère in Paris; known at the time as the male Josephine Baker and an icon of the Harlem Renaissance. Gorer, on the back of this work, went on to become a prominent anthropologist.
