The auction featured an array of beautiful lots including rings set with diamonds and precious gems and a variety of antique jewellery, which attracted fierce bidding on the day.
The highlight of the auction was an impressive Victorian serpent necklet. Its undulating body set with turquoise was highlighted by its fierce face, with bared teeth and ruby and diamond eyes. This was much admired on view and on the day, attracted competition on the phone and internet. The hammer eventually fell at a staggering £10,500 and sold to a local Glaswegian.
Entries are invited for the Jewellery Auction taking place on the 22nd of July. To consign to this sale, make an appointment to visit our Glasgow Galleries or contact our specialists by clicking this link and completing the short form.
