July’s British & International Pictures Auction helped kick off a busy week of 7 auctions at McTear’s. There was plenty of excitement, with bids coming in in the room, online and over the phones. Artists such as Harold Storey and James Hamilton Mackenzie achieved surprising but well-deserved high prices, with fierce competition. Auction favourites such as Ralston Gudgeon and Jessie Marion King also performed well, among others.
Further entries are invited for the next British & International Pictures auction on 12th October. To consign to this auction, make an appointment to visit our Glasgow Galleries or contact our specialists by clicking this link and completing the short form.
