The creations of renowned glass designer Rene Lalique starred in this auction of 19th & 20th Century Design with a rare Languedoc vase leading the way at £12,000 before three further four figure results for two Avalan and Soudan vases and an attractive set of Coquielles finger bowls.
The furniture was led by the ever popular Hans Olsen for Frem Rojle designed dining table and chairs before an excellent Glasgow School Arts & Crafts cabinet went at £800 and a pair of Starbay Bermudes folding chairs caught the eye at £550.
Further works by Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson, Damien Hirst, Herbert Terry and Jessie M. King among other storied names all found new, stylish homes.
