The saleroom was a rainbow of colour as jewellery enthusiasts the world over bid for vivid gems. A sumptuous emerald and diamond ring achieved £3,400, as did a stunning tanzanite and diamond bracelet. Blue and pink sapphires, as well as rubies and topazes enjoyed international competition. An unusual Egyptian revival brooch sets off to its new home, while a gem set clown pendant - one of the most admired lots during viewing - sold to a delighted buyer in the saleroom.
The next Jewellery Auction takes place on 25 July and entries are invited.
