Following on from The Scottish Contemporary Art Auction, this month’s whisky sale offers a different taste of Scotland, but one that’s no less of a feast for the senses. Many of the mouth-watering whiskies we have on offer could be considered masterpieces, but the Macallan Private Eye, which features a screen printed label designed by renowned artist, Ralph Steadman, certainly blurs the line between whisky and art.
Other standout drams include some wonderful examples from Springbank, Brora, Port Ellen, Bowmore and Laphroaig. But these are only the tip of the iceberg.
