GOOD AND RARE PAIR OF VICTORIAN NOVELTY SILVER CANDLESTICKS
GEORGE EDWARDS & SONS (IMPORTERS), GLASGOW 1899

modelled as cobras with protruding tongues, the detachable sconces with foliate detail, likely of Kutch (Bhuj) manufacture, in the manner of Oomersee Mawji, but otherwise unmarked

Condition Report
Condition generally good. Light age and use related wear. The sconces screw on, with one screwing tight, the other screws but with some material above cobra head - gets to a point and continues to screw without getting tight. Slight lean to heads/sconces. No Indian marks. Glasgow marks struck well. Images now available.
