Note: This jersey was gifted to the vendor when they were 17 years old by Bob Rooney in the Vesuvius Restaurant Glasgow, December 1966. The Celtic players had reputedly booked the place for themselves as a private party the evening after the European cup second round game vs. Nantes. Rooney gave this to the vendor stating that he believed the jersey was worn by Auld in their game against Nantes. The current owner would later get the jersey signed by Auld. Whilst McTear's has no reason to doubt the authenticity of the jersey, the lack of definitive provenance does not allow us to offer a firm guarantee.
