with steel blade, the brass guard pierced with crowned IV cipher, wirebound shagreen grip, along with another 19th century sword, this with crossed hammer and sabre mark, with original scabbard

Condition Report

Light cavalry sabre, good to fair.
Blade appears generally good, with slight misshaping to tip. Minor deterioration and pitting, though still retaining chromed finish.
Typical wear and deterioration to hi.t, including some small losses to chagrin. Pommel tight, but clearly been unscrewed and re screwed - sits at slight angle. Some slight dings and minor dents to canard, as well as areas of rust. 


The second sword in fair condition. Rust and deterioration to blade. Some damage to folding section of hilt, also minor misshaping.
