BEN HALLEWELL (BRITISH 1822-1869), BALAKLAVA HARBOUR 1856 pencil and watercolour 14cm x 22cm Mounted and framed. Note: Colonel Ben Hallewell was assistant quartermaster of the British Army in the Crimean war and painted sketches of sites in Crimea and from his travels. This sketch comes from Folio 3 of his works. Examples of Hallewell's watercolours are held by the V&A.
