Note: Joanna Constantinidis (1927-2000) was trained at Sheffield College of Art. She was inspired by British history, medieval pottery, Staffordshire slipware, salt glaze and early industry pottery as well as modern and ancient Greece. In 1978, she was awarded the Medal of Honour at the international exhibition of ceramic art in Faenza, Italy. Her work is internationally recognised and is shown in the U.S., Belgium, Italy as well as the U.K where it is represented in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
