- Signs of wear consistent with age
- Chips, cracks and repairs visible to corners of lid, scratches and small marks visible to lid, wear to interior of lid and fabric lining to lid interior worn
- Wear, chips and cracks visible to body of tea caddy. Chips visible to corners and spot of loss to front of tortoise shell exterior. Small crack radiating from lock. Small marks and light residue visible. Tortoiseshell coming away at top corner of back of tea caddy (see photo).
- One handle of interior lift out lid is loose. Silvered interior worn and fading. Signs of wear and scratches visible to lift out lids.
