COPY OF A LETTER REGARDING CELTIC F.C. GILBERT HERON,
discussing an incident from Celtic Reserves v Stirling Albion Reserves on 2nd January 1952, stating

'In the above match I ordered off the field of play Gilbert Heron... for the following incident which offucred 32 minutes after commencement of the scond half.
As the ball came over from the wing towards the Stirling Albion goal, and both Stirling and Celtic players conerged on the goal, I observed Gilbert Heron of Celtic run up behind a Stirling Albion defender and eliberately draw back his boot and kick that defender on the leg. ...',

Note: Gilbert Heron was the father of musician Gil Scott Heron, and the first black player to play for Celtic
