Note: Alastair Dallas was a watercolourist, who painted landscapes of Kirkcudright and around Scotland. Born in Berlin where his father was a Church of Scotland Minister. Official artist on the King of Belgium's expedition in search of Tsetse fly and King of Sweden's expedition in the Gobi Desert. He married Ann in 1945 and settled in Kirkcudbright at the Old Tolbooth House studio. A frequent exhibitor at the Royal Scottish Academy and at the RSW annual exhibitions
