Duck… Duck… Dog!

Bound to make a splash in the saleroom, a beautiful early 20th-century gold duck bar brooch features at lot 2. This sweet little duck has intricate coloured enamel details to the face, subtle bicolour wings and is marked for eighteen-carat gold. This comes with an auction estimate of £80- 120. 

Lot 2 is not the only lovely duck brooch to feature in this auction, there is a second – an enamelled baroque pearl example at lot 294 - estimated at £60- 90. 

If ducks don’t take your fancy, how about a charming early 20th-century Scottish terrier bar brooch? This terrific little terrier features at lot 298, and comes with an auction estimate of £50- 80. The perfect Christmas gift for a loved one that loves dogs.  

These handsome brooches are sure to fly when they go under the hammer on 18 December.
