Note the Power of Auction

17/01/2018     Coins & Banknotes

A collection of five early 20th century £1 notes, that were estimated  to sell for a few hundred pounds, made an impressive £10,000 (including buyer’s premium) in the January auction of Coins & Banknotes. The vendor, who had also consigned a group of gold coins to the same auction, thought nothing of the notes, much due to their worn condition. This surprise result highlights the significance of a dedicated Coins & Banknotes auction and the international audience it offers.
