Our ever-popular 'Cabinet of Curiosities' auction returns in 2023, on 22 February, and will not disappoint.
With a whole host of natural history, antiquities and taxidermy on offer, there really is something to tempt all tastes.
For those after a quirky and unusual item, one such piece on offer is a rare fossilised crocodile specimen (Plalaysuchus Petroleum). This truly unique item measures 92cm x 40cm. Dating from the Eocene period, a geological period that lasted 56 to 33.9 million years ago. The name 'Eocene', comes from the Ancient Greek for 'Dawn' and 'New' and refers to the dawn of new life. This piece comes from Guangdong, a province in Southeast China, with an estimate of £10,000 - £15,000. A real unique statement piece, that would certainly be a real talking point in any home.
