One such item is a Kingwood and Gilt Metal Bureau Plat of Louis XV Design. This fine example, which was more than likely made for a French chateau or country house, quite simply defines quality. The oblong top comes set with a leather green skiver, with one short flanked drawer, by two deep frieze drawers, with dummy drawers at the opposite end. To top this bureau off, it is complete on four sabre supports. The true craftmanship is evident throughout this piece, with an estimate of £700 - £1,000 and is a fair reflection on this true statement piece.
