Discover The Scottish Contemporary Art Auction

McTear’s is at the centre of the country’s modern art scene and we are delighted to be the first and only auction house in this bonnie land to offer a dedicated sale of Scottish Contemporary Art.

Scottish art, traditional and modern, has a kudos not often found in the art world. Perhaps it is the ethereal, somewhat magical quality of our landscape. Perhaps the deep-seated pride of the Scots people across old and present times, with strong traditions in poetry, literature, language and crafts.

Bidders from around the globe attend our monthly Scottish Contemporary Art Auction, both in-person at our Glasgow Galleries and virtually, bidding in real time live online. The sale showcases artworks by the best names in Scottish – and carefully curated international – art, continually smashing auction records.
