Easy Rider...

When it comes to antiques, we at McTear’s are no strangers to the weird and the wonderful.
Indeed, whilst our vast range of specialist sales never fail to capture the attention of international bidders, our fortnightly Antiques & Interiors auction continues to hold its own as a sale were records are set for some of the more unusual lots we see coming to sale.

Recent examples of this trend include Lot 124 in our 2nd October auction, a collection of Ian Fleming James Bond novels, which sold for a jaw dropping £1,100 to one London based bidder. Less than half a month earlier, Lot 326 from our 18th September sale, a reproduction mutoscope, sold for an unprecedented £5,000 to a buyer in Lithuania! And of course, who could forget Lot 100A in that very same sale, a majestic Ducatti motorbike, which sold for the very good sum of £3,000.

That brings us up to our current sale, within which we are delighted to be offering not one, but two further motorcycles. Lots 100A, a Triumph 250cc motorbike, and 101A, a Velosette 150cc motorbike, will be coming under the hammer! With estimates between £1000-2000, both bikes are attractively priced, and will be sure to be revving out of McTear’s with one lucky buyer.
