While this month’s auction boasts a great selection of whiskies from all over Scotland, a large portion of the sale comes from a single collection mostly comprised of single malts from Glen Moray and Glenmorangie.
This selection of great Glens includes something for everyone, ranging from heavyweights like Glen Moray’s 1959 Vintage 40-Year-Old and Glenmorangie’s 21-Year-Old Sesquicentennial Decanter, to great everyday drinkers like Glen Moray’s exceptionally easy to quaff 16-Year-Old and Glenmorangie’s punchy 100° Proof Traditional.
Other highlights include a wonderful Springbank 1966 Local Barley Bourbon Single Cask. Produced in small numbers even by Springbank’s standard, and using only Barley sourced from farms on the Kintyre peninsula, these 1966 vintages have become some of the most sought-after expressions from the distillery’s enviable back catalogue.
Or, if Islay whiskies are more your style, there’s plenty to choose from in the form of two terrific vintage Bowmores and an older style Ardbeg 10-Year-Old from their pre-Glenmorangie days. With all that, and more besides, this sale isn’t one to miss out on.
